Exton, PA – J. W. Pepper announces the hiring of Christopher Titko to the position of Sacred Music Editor. Mr. Titko has served numerous denominations, in a full-time and part-time capacity, over his 35 years of music ministry.
He has directed vocal and handbell choirs in churches, and has conducted major works in concert including: Mozart’s Requiem, Rutter’s Requiem and Magnificat, Bach’s Christmas Oratorio and Handel’s Messiah. He has also conducted adult and children’s community choruses in performances of Britten’s Ceremony of Carols and Donald Fraser’s Christmas Symphony.
Christopher’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Music degree in sacred music from Westminster Choir College, Princeton, and a Master of Music degree in choral conducting from Indiana University, Bloomington. He pursued further graduate studies at the University of Oklahoma, Norman.
He has also served as the accompanist for numerous choral organizations in Florida, Arkansas and New Jersey, including the Princeton Pro Musica. He occasionally gives organ recitals; most recently he performed for the Princeton University Chapel Noontime Series.
