J.W. Pepper hires two new editors in choral product sales

Exton, PA – J.W. Pepper is happy to announce two new additions to our editorial department: Jennifer Moorhatch and Thomas Dean. Both have extensive experience with an array of musical institutions and genres, with a combined total of over 50 years in music education. They join a staff that is already immensely talented and well versed in the needs of educators, directors, and individual musicians alike.

“We want to continually find ways to innovate, improve our service and successfully meet customer’s needs, and what better way than to than to hire people who have been where our customers are,” says Tom Sabatino, Manager of Choral Product Sales for J.W. Pepper. “Jennifer Moorhatch and Tom Dean are both successful music teachers who can speak from ‘real-world’ experience.”

Thomas Dean spent 34 years teaching music in public and private schools, instructing students of all ages in choral music, music theory, composition, voice, piano, and more. He served as the Fine Arts Department Chair for Mount Pleasant High School, as well as the Technology and Secondary Grade Reporting Committees in Brandywine School District. Thomas has also served as the All-State Chair, All-State Coordinator, Editor, Technology Chair, Composition Competition Chair, and President of DMEA at different times in his career. He has a long standing relationship with NAfME, having been President of the Eastern Division and a National Executive Board member.

Jennifer Moorhatch taught general, instrumental, and choral music in various private schools in Pennsylvania for over 20 years. During that time, she also taught several specialty ensembles, such as A-cappella choir, Madrigal choir, Chamber Music, and Handbells, taking her groups on several international tours as well as local appearances. Serving as the head of a local conservatory, she worked as the Musical Director and accompanist for numerous music theater productions, while also building a large private studio for students of voice and piano. Jennifer is active in worship music as well, leading and planning worship services in a contemporary format.
