    Tom Sabatino joins J.W. Pepper choral product sales department

    Exton, PA – J.W. Pepper is proud to announce that Thomas Sabatino has joined the Choral Editorial Team in the Choral Product Sales Department.

    Tom brings with him vast experience as a high school choral director and will be a valuable resource to the editorial department and its continuing commitment to music education.Possessing several certifications in Delaware and Pennsylvania, Tom has worked in music classrooms as a choral and band director for the past 30 years.  His teaching credits include marching, symphonic, and jazz bands, as well as concert and show choirs at Dickinson High School in Willmington, DE; instrumental music and general music at McCullough Elementary School in New Castle, DE; and Director of Choral Activities for Concord High School, Wilmington, DE.  Tom served as President of the Delaware Music Educators Association from 2009 to 2011 and the Choral Director for American Music Abroad Bronze from 2005 to 2012.  Currently, Tom is the Choral Director for “Schola Cantorum” at the University of Delaware.

    Tom has dedicated his life to the betterment of the music education community.  He has twice been nominated for and once awarded Concord High’s Teacher of the Year award.  Tom’s “Concord High Chorale” was twice invited to perform at NAFME Eastern Division Conventions in Providence, R.I. in 2009 and Baltimore, MD in 2011.  He also served two years as Delaware ACDA Chair for the High School Repertoire and Standards.  During his career, Tom has worked to establish school-community and school-university partnerships with national barbershop choruses and quartets, church music programs, and university choral groups.

    Outside of his work in music education, Tom is also the Director of Music for St. Mark’s United Methodist Church.  He also worked for two years as a Voice Over Artist/Production Assistant for WSTW/WDEL Radio Stations and spent much of his career as a Freelance Percussionist and Vocalist in the Delaware Area.
