My Score Composer of the Month—November 2025

Featured Composers for 2025–2026

At J.W. Pepper, we’re committed to uplifting the voices of composers through My Score, our platform that enables creators publishing independently to share their original music with performers and educators across the globe. Each month, we spotlight composers whose work reflects the artistry and passion found throughout the My Score community.

This month, we’re thrilled to feature Steven L. Rosenhaus as our Composer of the Month for November. Alongside Steven, we’re also highlighting nine additional composers whose public profiles offer a glimpse into their unique musical journeys, creative processes, and recent works available through My Score.

Steven L. Rosenhaus is a composer, arranger, conductor, lyricist, educator and clinician, dramaturge for musicals, author, and performer. He has over 250 compositions and arrangements published and has works performed by musicians ranging from middle school musicians through professional (NY Philharmonic, et al.) and military ensembles (US Navy Band, The Band of HIs Majesty’s Royal Marines Plymouth).

Dr. Rosenhaus, who taught composition at New York University for over 30 years, is the author of “The Concert Composer’s Business Handbook” (Rowman & Littlefield).  It is written for composers of original music—mostly or completely within the world of concert or classical music—as a one-stop resource of information on earning income from music that they write. Drawing on a breadth of experience in the professional field, Stephen L. Rosenhaus addresses a variety of important topics, including copyright, types of income streams, performing rights organizations, promoting and presenting music, music publishing and more.  Steven is also the co-author with Allen Cohen of “Writing Musical Theater.”
